Dorset Attractions!

If you are looking for a place to spend your vacation, Dorset is it. You can choose from many Dorset holiday cottages that provide clean and comfortable accommodations for you and your family or friends.  Because the holiday cottages have self-catering facilities, you can always cook your own food if you want.  Near the Dorset holiday cottages too are several attractions that you can always explore.  It will not be a problem visiting all these attractions if you stay at the holiday cottages.

Bennett's Water Gardens

One of the great attractions in Dorset is Bennett's Water Gardens.  It is just a short drive away from the Dorset holiday cottages.  If you are bringing some kids with you, the gardens would be a great place for them to run around and explore. There is the Children's Fun Trails and the Heritage Museum which you and your kids should not miss for you will learn a lot here. Bennett's Water Gardens is more known for its replica of the Monet Japanese Garden which also includes the stunning water lilies. Visit the Tropical Plant-house and buy some souvenirs from the gift shop to take back home with you. Take some snacks at the Lakeside Café before going back to your Dorset holiday cottage. All these can be found in the 8-acre Bennett's Water Garden in a place filled with vibrant flowers, shrubs, trees and willows.

Farmer Palmer's Farm

For those who want to experience life on the farm, the Farmer Palmer's Farm is one of the great places to go especially since it is not too far from your holiday cottages. This place is a recipient of the National Award for being one of the best theme parks in the countryside.  Kids 8 years old and below will especially love the tractor rides, bouncy castles, straw mountains and other play areas outside. Farmer Palmer's Farm also has different events for the children that go on every 30 minutes. You need not bring food from your Dorset holiday cottages as there is a restaurant where you and your kids can eat yummy farmhouse food.  Start out early from the holiday cottages so you can spend the whole time at the farm which is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Pirate Adventure

Start them young or so they say. If your children are already interested in playing golf, take them to the Pirate Adventure Mini Golf Course. If you are staying at the Dorset holiday cottages, this golf course should be something that you should include in your itinerary. It is a 19-hole golf course that will let you and the kids play a fun round of golf. Check their opening time before you leave your holiday cottages as they have different opening times during summer (10 a.m. daily) and during winter (weekends only).
